It had been a while since he had agreed to helping Zara out with keeping the human race safe, and he had even made sure to keep his promise. Nao had never been one to spill secrets or even let anyone know or pick up on them, keeping a stoic composure and keeping to himself like always even as he worked at the bar.
Keeping a level head and his focus on his job, the small male only answered when spoken to seeing as he knew how things worked in the entertainment district. Once you were in the work place, you act as though you were owned and you stay in your place; speaking when spoken to and saying the things you were told or trained to while keeping the demons happy, to let them know that you were the lesser being and they were the top of the food chain and treat them with respect.
To be honest, doing all that just made him sick to his stomach. Acting like some sort of underdog or even more degraded - dirt. With a heavy sigh leaving his lungs, he went about his job serving the demons the drinks that they desired even if it meant getting his hands dirty with some of the damn beverages and remained with a blank and emotionless expression plastered on his features despite wanting to gag or make a face at the smells that the damn drinks left lingering behind.
He was happy when he was finally allowed on break and quickly cleaned the counter surface before taking off the small apron around his waist and placed it neatly to the side and out of the way soon enough making his way outside into the back alley for some 'fresh' air. It was better than the damned smoke that filled his lungs against his will being stuck in the damn bar every night for the past few years; he had always hated smokers.
A small groan left his throat as he stretched his arms up, willing his tired muscles to wake up along with his mind as he inhaled deeply to clear his lungs of the damn toxins that had filled them not too long ago before sighing heavily once more. "My breaks seem to get shorter and shorter as the months go by..." Nao thought to himself outloud, mumbling a little under his breath as he rubbed the side of his head.
